FLOVEL proudly announces the commissioning of two units of Chanju II HEP (3 x 6.6 MW +10% COL) situated in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Two units of the project of 6.6 MW each were synchronized to the grid on 25th July 2021. The third unit of project is in erection phase and is expected to be commissioned in November, 2021

Contract of the project was awarded by M/s Cosmos Hydro Power Pvt. Ltd.  to FLOVEL in December 2018.

Initially, the project was envisaged with surface type powerhouse, however owing to geological surprise at project site, the location of powerhouse was changed from surface to underground cavern. Swift changes in design of the equipment were carried out to suit the new location of power house.

Thoughtful planning and effective project management resulted in timely completion of supplies. Despite of the challenges faced due to outbreak of COVID-19, the project works were timely completed by FLOVEL with close coordination and support of Customer’s site team. FLOVEL’s overall project management and support during entire Project life cycle was appreciated by our esteemed Customer.

Scope of Supply:
Scope of works included design, manufacturing and supply of Vertical Kaplan turbine, Generator, Digital Governor, Excitation System, SCADA, E-BOP (excluding switchyard equipment) and M-BOP equipment on water to wire basis. Services included delivery of equipment up to CIF Hai Phong Port, Supervision of erection, testing & commissioning. FLOVEL’s overall project management and support during the entire Project life cycle was appreciated by our esteemed Customer.
