With the addition of the machining center in the manufacturing processes profile machining of core components has become faster and more accurate. Materials with surface hardness of 350-400BHN can be machined easily. The surface finishes achieved are N6 and finer. The machine is fully enclosed and dust or sound is eliminated from the general environment.

Critical turbine components such as Wicket Gates, Francis Runner Buckets, Kaplan Runner Blades can be machined with very high accuracy. With the help of axis complete profile machining of wicket gates is done in a single setting. When compared with the 3D model the machines profile co-ordinates match within an accuracy of ~5 microns. The inbuilt co-ordinate measuring tools helps the inspection engineers to accurately and quickly inspect components.
