Renovation, Modernisation and uprating of Sholayar Hydro Electric Project, scope Includes Reverse Engineering, Model test, Design, Manufacture, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of complete E&M Equipment which includes Vertical Francis Turbine, Generator, Digital Governor, Digital Static Excitation system, SCADA and other balance of plant equipment. The main technical challenge was to design the machine in line with existing spiral casing with stay ring and deliver 10% additional output. Model turbine was designed and manufactured at our works, tested in an independent laboratory in Sweden. Results were even better than the committed values.
