In March 2019, FLOVEL signed a contract with Sai Engineering Foundation for Kareri HEP (2 x 3.0 MW) in Shimla District of Himachal Pradesh, India. The project has been commissioned in 2021 despite the covid pandemic challenges. This project is situated on Satluj river basin, located in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh, India FLOVEL’s contractual scope comprises of the supply of Horizontal Francis Turbine, Generators, Electrical & Mechanical Balance of Plant and Erection, Testing & Commissioning. Kareri HEP is being developed by M/s Sai Engineering prior to this they have developed many HEPs in Himachal Pradesh on BOOT basis. Sai Engineering has strong foothold in hydro power sector of India and has also provided consultancy & EPC services in many small hydro power and civil engineering projects.

FLOVEL has already executed Simla HEP (2 × 2.8 MW) in year 2015 and many more projects to the full satisfaction of the same customer. With successful execution of this project, FLOVEL has further reinforced its strong position in the domestic market as a preferred and reliable partner in developing hydropower in India.
