Ha Giang Province, where Ta Quan 1 is located, is identified as a significant area for the development of medium size and small hydropower projects in the country’s National Electrical System Development Plan. Ta Quan 1 Hydropower Joint Stock Company had signed a contract with FLOVEL for supply of electro-mechanical equipment for Ta Quan 1 Project on 24^th May 2019.

The scope of supply includes design of equipment of the plant, manufacturing supply, installation, supervision and commissioning of the Horizontal Francis Turbines, Main Inlet Valves, Generators, Main Transformers, Auxiliary Equipment, Indoor Electrical Equipment, Outdoor 35 kV Switchyard Equipment, as well as Control and Protection Systems.

Execution of project commenced in end February 2020. The delivery schedule was very challenging, but we completed the supplies within 10 months which was ahead of contractual timelines. We achieved this feat in spite of Force Majeure condition that occurred due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Ta Quan 1 HPP was Commissioned and synchronized to the grid on March 15th, 2021 and the plant is under commercial operation. Performance of FLOVEL and high quality of machinery was highly appreciated by Customer. We are currently executing two more project of the same Customer in Ha Giang Province.
