The commissioning of Ngoi Phat Expansion HPP came at the time when the outbreak of COVID 19 epidemic was at its peak, severely hampering travel and posing serious health risks.  While the entire world came under lockdown Team FLOVEL was busy fulfilling its commitment with its customer for completion of the Ngoi Phat Expansion HPP in stipulated time.  Appropriate safety measures like sanitizing, wearing of safety masks, social distancing of personnel at site had to be implemented.

Due to the outbreak of Covid 19, FLOVEL was able to mobilise limited manpower to site for the commissioning activities.  In order to be on top of the project schedule it was decided to continue with the project commissioning activities through remote control support from our Headquarters in Faridabad, India.

Following activities were completed (with remote support) for the commissioning:

• Mechanical & Electrical stabilization of machine
• Control & Automation
• Various tests as per EVN requirement
• Successful Synchronization

Ngoi Phat Expansion HPP was successfully synchronised to the EVN grid on 25^th April 2020 evening and dedicated to the service of the Vietnamese People.

FLOVEL’s scope includes Vertical 4 Jet Pelton Turbine, generators, electrical and mechanical balance of plant, including supervision of erection, testing & commissioning.
