Conventionally, it required manual layout marking of runner diameter on floor or Housing Plate. Then Fixing the Needle alignment fixture on nozzle head and measuring the center by right angle and dropping the plumb over the marking. This activity is repeated one by one for all nozzles. Accuracy of this process is very low as it depends on so many factors like plumb condition, needle rod condition, right angle position etc. This is a time-consuming activity and also very tedious due to space constraint.

At FLOVEL we constantly strive towards innovation for improvement. For the above process, we started using portable Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), which makes process smoother and accurate. The accuracy enhances performance and durability of the machine.

With the help of CMM, we directly check all nozzles position in one go w.r.t to runner diameter, in a very accurate and simpler way. The new process has multiple benefits including:

1. No need of any layout marking
2. No need of any separate needle alignment fixture and needle rod
3. No need of any right angle and plumb to check position
4. No need to repeat the process for every nozzle.

With the same data we can check the angle of needles and also the position of all needles on one plane, and the whole process takes considerably less time.
